This policy explains how Kevin Bishop Consulting (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us", "the practice") collects, uses, and protects personal information gathered through this website, kevinbishop.co.za. We process personal information lawfully and transparently in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 ("POPIA").

This policy covers the website only. It does not cover personal information we collect and process in the course of a client engagement, which is governed separately by the engagement letter and our internal data protection policy.

This website does not run analytics software, tracking pixels, or marketing cookies of any kind. All fonts and visual assets used on this site are hosted directly from this domain, not fetched from a third-party service.

As with any website, our hosting provider may retain standard server access logs (such as IP address, date and time of access, and pages requested) for security and operational purposes. These logs are controlled by our hosting provider, not actively collected or analysed by us, and are not used to identify or profile individual visitors.

4. Information You Provide Voluntarily

The only way to contact us through this site is the "Email me" link, which opens your own email application addressed to kevin@kevinbishop.co.za. Any personal information you choose to include in that email — your name, email address, and the content of your message — is received and processed solely to respond to your enquiry and, if an engagement follows, to progress it.

The lawful basis for this processing is your consent, given by voluntarily sending the message, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services.

This website does not set or use cookies.

6. Third-Party Links

This site links out to two external destinations: a LinkedIn profile and a mailto link that opens your own email client. In neither case does kevinbishop.co.za receive, store, or process any information from that third-party platform. Your use of LinkedIn is governed by LinkedIn's own privacy policy.

Under POPIA, you have the right to be told what personal information of yours we hold, to request access to it, to request its correction or deletion, and to object to its processing at any time, free of charge. You may also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator if you believe your information has been processed unlawfully.

Correspondence arising from a website enquiry is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with the enquiry or, where an engagement results, for the retention period set out in the relevant engagement letter and our internal retention schedule.

This website is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection. We take reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to a website of this nature to safeguard any information in transit.
